Very nice place, good food and good portions

Food wa average. We ordered 5 rolls and 4 of them tasted the same (same sauces drizzled on top). Our fav was the lobster tempura roll. Food came out relatively quickly. Wasnt very busy though it was a Monday lunch hour. They forgot a roll we ordered and had it on the bill but once we clarified, they took it off the bill immediately.

Great serving sizes, great prices, great quality, and great service. We loved the sashimi. All around great!

Would surely recommend visiting this place. Awesome vibes, delicious dishes, fantastic customer service. They never disappoint.

How was the food?I thought the food here was really average or maybe slightly below average. I wouldn’t say that they are horrible because it is edible, but I definitely would not be interested enough in the food to eat it again. Maybe if I worked around the area then I might occasionally come in when I crave sushi, that kind of taste. The salad as a side dish though, pretty horrible, starter suppose to get your appetite open, but I think this one did the exact opposite for me, lol. All in all, a pretty boring shop.How was the service?The service was alright, I think nothing extraordinarily good, not bad either. Would I recommend?I think you can skip this one, you are not missing anything.

The best sushi place along Yonge between Sheppard and Finch in my personal experience, and I frequent this area often. It’s such a cozy spot, the staff is friendly, and most important the sushi is deliciously fresh. Fish never smells fishy, which is key! Their rolls are also very substantial vs. other restaurants in the area.The boats are really well priced too if you’re sharing. My favourite part, was that green tea was brought to me right as I sat down without even asking. I loved that!

I always arrive grabbing some food here. I like the prompt customer service and well cooked food. They never disappoint.

I love this venue very much. It has a unique feeling. The meals are tasty. the service is powerful and the personel is well trained. The pay is modest. I warmly recommend.

Service was definitely great. Sashimis were decent but rolls were all rice and they were falling apart. 3 star at best.

A very calm place with a nice atmosphere. The food and sushi is really good and they serve it really quick. One thing I would like to see is the pricing; I know it's not a very expensive place, but for the price we paid, I expected really high quality foods. Nevertheless, it's always a good sushi experience.

We just stumbled into this place for dinner, plans were dinner down the street but was not available. This Wako Sushi has great sushi, sashimi and all different varieties as well as presentations. Staff are excellent.

The food was ok, nothing extraordinary to tell about it. The service was endeavored and friendly. Unfortunately the interior furnishing was a bit run down. I would eat in there again.

Really enjoyed the rolls here! Fresh, fast service, and the portion sizes are large. Glad we decided to come here - will be back next time!

Went in at around lunch time and there was no wait. Service wash quick. Sushi was great. Really fresh. Bento box is great value.

UNBELIEVABLY GOOD FOOD! Although it doesn't look very appealing from the outside, the interior design and atmosphere suggest otherwise. The food is slightly on the expensive side, but TRUST ME, ITS WORTH IT. The sushi and sashimi here is on the next level, the best tasting and freshest I've ever tried! I don't understand how it's possible to make a piece of fish by itself taste like that. The tempura is also really unique as it is fluffy, crunchy, but light. Lastly, the customer service is really friendly and welcoming. This restaurant is a definitely one you should try!!!

This restaurant is my favored. I go to many restaurants but to this place I go the most. The team is very affectionate and the food they offer is so yummy. I am always happy to have a good meal here. Highly recommended.

Wako Sushi is my go to spot for great sushi. They have excellent sashimi, especially the salmon, as it’s really fresh with great flavour. Their roles are also really good. If you like specialty rolls, check out their Black Dragon roll. It’s huge and draped with large pieces of eel, it’s soooo good! And of course, they have bento boxes. Again, fantastic food and quantity wise, you get excellent value for your money especially considering their Yonge / Shepard location. And finally, service is always excellent. Their servers are very attentive and polite and they check in to make sure your tea is refilled and you have what you need.I highly recommend this place if you’re in the area and are craving good sushi!

Great place. Fresh food and cozy ambiance. Sushi and sashimi is really fresh and authentic. My go to place for dining or a quick take out.

I came here with a friend, ordered 4 rolls (Parkview Ave roll, Black Dragon, Lobster Salad, Spicy Salmon Crunch roll) which is more than enough for 2 people. Good quality sushi, rice was soft and tasty, there was a good amount of filling in each piece.

I celebrated my birthday today in this gorgeous place. Well it was a fantastic evening and the restaurant was certainly one of the reasons for the outstanding meeting. The team participated in a splendid manner, the cuisine was appetizing and my buddies were so pleased. We shall absolutely return for more joyful events. Thank you very much.

This is one of the many restaurants in this area but stood out.Being a vegetarian, we don't have many options available usually but they had some. The place is small but neatly done. We could a get a seat quickly on a Friday night even though it was mostky occupied.Ordered Vegetarian Dragon roll(Which surprising had mayo topping), Veg Udong, Miso soup and Hakutsuru Hot Sake.This was my first time her as well as trying hot sake.I had a wonderful experience. The person helping us was very friendly and even answered our questions patiently regarding details of food.The rolls were awesome! Liked everything. The music was nice.Only thing I would have liked more if they didn't have plastic bowl and soup spoon for eating. Other than that everything was great.Definitely recommend others and would visit again.
